Val I've been enjoying the read. Question- what was the root cause of all your punctures or tyre leaks?

Hi Dunc,
The tyres did become "tyresome". Split rims, possibly some of the belts exposed inside and rubbing on the tubes, maybe grains of sand doing the same - all probably compounded by running low pressures on the sand. Changed over to tubeless after this trip and now very much reduced need for repairs.
